Arising from a dialogue between the existing barracks and the undulations of the Cadiz coastline, the project is conceived as three successive swells shifting across the gentle slope of the Montenmedio landscape.
To evoke this organic movement, each module incorporates a fluid green roof, culminating in a mature native shrub that suggests the crest of a breaking wave.

All Live - Work modules feature a southeasterly aspect for the loft residence, and a northwesterly aspect for the studio, which demands diffuse, indirect light; the latter is shielded from the afternoon western sun by an extension of the structural wall.
The internal volumes of the module unfold across the ground floor, with the exception of the sleeping platform, positioned above the kitchen and bathroom, maintaining a visual connection with both the study and the studio.

Regarding the positioning of the modules across the plot, they are situated where the slope is steepest to optimise the geometric composition of the wave; and regarding their layout, they align in perpendicular lines to the contour intervals, establishing the progression of the series, with a spatial separation between modules of more than 4 metres.
For the structure, all modules are partially submerged (with the exception of the communal areas and guest suites), leaving a retaining wall on either side from which the supporting framework of the arched roof emerges.
